Wilsons stardom grew in the UK in 2014. Wilson was a part of Alison Lockhart in Showtimes The Affair in which she played a woman with dark secrets who falls in an affair with Noah Solloway. The show also starring Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson was a hit for both critics and viewers alike and earned Wilson the Golden Globe for Best Actress in an Television Series Drama in 2015.
